I use GET parameters a lot when building sites to enable certain features on a page. This is particularly handy for enabling a grid overlay when laying out elements in a design. Unfortunately (and understandably) tumblr doesn’t let you do any server-side scripting on your page, so I made a quick and dirty jQuery plugin which checks for the existence of a GET parameter:
